Development Tools for macOS
The following instructions are for students whose computer is running a version of macOS. If your computer is running a version of Windows, please follow the instructions for the Development Tools for Windows
NOTE
The following instructions requires macOS Catalina (10.15) or later. Find out which macOS your Mac is using
If your computer is running an older version of macOS, please go to MAMP for Laravel.
NOTE
The following instructions will require using the Terminal. You can find the Terminal application on your computer at the following location: /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app.
You can also access the Terminal by typing 'Terminal' into Spotlight.
NOTE
The following instructions use zsh Terminal, which is the default terminal for macOS. However, some older computer may still be using bash. While most commands will be the same, some commands may not work in bash if you wish to switch your default shell to zsh. Use the link below to see how.
